<p>According to the article that was posted on CC in one of the forums, some schools gauge interest from everything from visits to phone calls and emails. Each contact is rated from a 1-10 as to how interested the caller seemed to be. I don't know if this is how UPENN does it or if they even gauge interest, but that's how some schools do it.</p>
