Gay Acceptance at UM?

<p>What would the atmosphere at UM be like for a gay student? Are students accepting or rather conservative? I applied RD and if I get a substantial scholarship I would seriously consider going to UM, but I'm concerned about the atmosphere of the school.</p>

<p>There is a large gay community at UM and from what I know, there is no bashing or anti-gay feelings around campus. From what I've seen in my almost 3 years here, the gay people are widely accepted and feel completely comfortable at UM.</p>
