Gay kids?

I really like Middlebury, and am definitely applying. My only concern (and this is a minor one) is how sizeable the gay population is. I don't need a huge group of gay kids to be happy, but it would be nice to have some dating options. Of course, this little factor isn't going to sway my decision to apply one way or the other, but I really would like to know.

well actually..when i was there..out of the minorities alone..there was like 3 gay guys and i only met like 10 guys i think there..soo i actually think there are gay people there..understand the pop. of the entire college is small so compared to universities..its obviously going to be a lot less..middlebury is great though..and i think really open to gay ppl..if i go there..i wanna join the gay/straight alliance..its great..

Yes, there is a gay population. MOQA (Midd Open Queer Alliance) is fairly active--so far they've had Come Out/Speak Out Week with panel discussions, events etc. and also a Sexual Diversity week which was just to raise awareness. I haven't yet encountered any outright discrimination, but I've only been here for a couple of months now. It's a pretty liberal campus.

If it makes you feel any better, there are two gay guys on my hall, so it seems pretty good in that respect ;)

hehe..i checkd out middlebury in october..i loved it..
