Are there a lot of gay people at Cornell?

Some are out. Some are in. Some haven’t fully come to terms with it yet. But, yes, just as there are many gay people in the population as a whole, there are gay people at Cornell.

I can also add that my son’s frat over the years has included two or three openly gay guys into the frat, and it is considered one of the mid to upper tier frats.

No. NYU does though. Go there.

Don’t be homophobic.

I think the amount of gay people here is very ordinary. So you may see openly gay people occasionally. If you want to join gay student organizations, then of course you’ll see more.

Like practically any college, Cornell has gay people.

My son went to Cornell and so did his husband. They loved thier experience at Cornell which is a gay friendly and liberal school.

being gay or not doesn’t really make a difference. but as always, there will be some gays at Cornell.

There is a very active queer community at Cornell, centered around the LGBTQ resource center and Haven (the Queer student union).

I have been openly gay since middle school, and it was strange coming to Cornell and seeing so many closeted students my first two years. But it’s funny seeing the dramatic rise in people who are out in your class as you get older.

oh hai chendrix! :D

Ditto at Reunions. I’m straight, and it was interesting to see so many formerly ‘straight’ acquaintances of mine in a different light. Including a former girlfriend. Which really explained a lot.

^ hahahahah

o hai ResurgamBell :D

LOL @ CR2k5

But I thought stuff like that only ever happened in sitcoms.
