GED or High School Diploma? (2nd time question, but i need opinions)

When I turn 16 I am considering a GED. Here is why:
First of all, why wait 3-4 years to finish high school, when you already know most of the stuff and you want to move on to college? Why waste time?
I know most of you're going to say, don't rush! But for me it's more important not to waste time and get as far ahead as possible.

Also, in anyway I plan to go to community college. So what is the point to get an HS diploma when I will be going to community college first anyway? And after community college I plan to transfer to a four year university. I DO NOT plan on having a gap anywhere between. Meaning, I get my GED RIGHT when I turn 16 (my state allows this) and RIGHT after I get my GED I go to community college, for the next term (since my sixteenth birthday is in the beginning of November, it's pretty close to winter, so in winter I could just sign up for winter term classes, right after I get my GED at age 16).

So that means I get to graduate college at age 19-20. (It really depends on how many credits you take and if you take summer courses, then I would be able to graduate at 19)

Once I'm out of college I actually DO have other plans for going to a university and getting a higher degree, but we are not talking about this right now, and that's another story.

I mean, seriously, once you have a college degree, it doesn't even matter whether you had an HS diploma or a GED!

I know GED is kind of a risk, and people consider GED people "dumb". So should I follow through with this? It seems like a good road to me, what do you guys think?

Colleges will not particularly look highly on you.

well… you could apply to simon’s rock

You seem to have really thought out this plan and it doesn’t sound wrong at all. If you were going to apply to a major university your chances would be down but a community college is a bit better about it. Once you apply to a university they won’t even care about your high school stuff, they will only look at your work from your community college.

If there isn’t a major reason for you to finish high school really early I don’t recommend it. You could dual enroll and still be done around the time that your 19 or 20.
