My school offers a Gen. Chem Honor, which is basically Gen. Chem worth 2 semester condensed into 1 semester of Gen. Chem Honor.
We do 5 hours of lecture and 5 hours of lab, and the work that we do is basically exactly two times that of a normal gen. chem.
I know that most med schools require 2 semester of chemistry as a prerequisite, but I was wonder if the course that I'm taking could satisfy that. I'm learning 2 semester worth of stuff.. it's just that the paper only shows 1.

Unless this is a 8 credit course, it’s not going to satisfy the full gen chem requirements.

You should check with your school’s pre-med advisor about this. My daughter’s school does something similar. She took one semester of Gen Chem and then moved directly into O. Chem. This is the standard path at her school and her school is a top ranked LAC with an excellent track record for pre-med admissions.

Does your school call it a 5 credit course, but give credit for both Chem classes?
