Hey guys!
I was looking at Bama’s Gen Eds and major requirements and had a question.

I know that one of their Gen Eds is 3 credits in Math…if your major also requires math(calc I to be exact), would taking Calc I cover BOTH your Gen Ed requirement AND major requirement, or would I have to take another math class to cover my gen ed?

You can count it for both GE **and **for major req’t. That is fine.

The rule though, is that you can’t count one class for 2 Gen Ed (Core) req’ts. *A course may be used to satisfy only one core requirement. For example, if a course carries a designation for both foreign language (FL) and humanities (HU), it may only be used to satisfy one of these core requirements. An additional course or courses must be completed to satisfy the remaining requirement. *

thanks mom2! Since I’ll probably be pre med, I wanted to make sure I didn’t have to double up on math and science!!!
