Gen Eds question

Hi. I'm an Architecture Major and I am trying to schedule classes for the Fall. The problem is, most classes are pretty much taken, and I have a very limited choice. I was wondering about GQ classes. I took AP Calc AB in high school and I got a 5, which means I get 4 credits for Math 140. Now, as an Arch major, I don't think I need Math 141, but I still need 2 more GQ credits. Can I schedule Math 041 (mainly to brush up on Trig), since it's a step down from Math 140? Just wondering...

Also, What other Gen Eds do you think are easy, yet enjoyable to take the first year... Pretty much all the classes are taken up, so I've had to resort to Geog 120, Urban Geography, which seems interesting, but I'm looking for ideas just in case.

Thank you all.

Yes, you can schedule Math 041 to fulfill a GQ. It’s like saying you can schedule Econ 002 (microecon) AFTER having the credits for Econ 004 (macroecon) for additional GS credits.

I would check with your major to just be sure you don’t need 141. If not, then I would go with stats. STAT 100/200/240/250 tend to be pretty easy and would help a lot in any career.

Math 041 is as high as is required. Thanks for the input. I was looking at either Stat or Math 041, but I think I would like to brush up on Trig, since that’s a pretty big part of Architecture and I haven’t taken it since 10th grade…
