Gender ratio?

is the ratio of boys to girls at tech still 70-30%? i heard next year will have a record high for girls?

idk, but i went on a visit, and i saw some fine females.

It's somewhere around there. And every year we set a new record high for girls :)

Lordy, my h loves the song with the lyrics, "the odds are good, but the goods are odd," in relation to the men on campus. He continues to sing it to my d, much to her chagrin. Actually, as the mother of a daughter, I'm nervous about that ratio for a lot of reasons. I'm sure she'll find female friends ... it's not like they don't exist, and I think she'll hold her own in her classes and the testosterone level on campus shouldn't scare her (she's grown up with an older brother and his friends), but I don't want her to feel as though she's fresh meat ... "whoa, let's check out the incoming class of girls!," and I'm sure that exists as well. Sigh ... why is she looking so far from home. [all h's fault; all h's fault]. :)

zebes

Oh my that's so funny. The ratio in my EE/CS classes is more like 10:1. I'm sure management and liberal arts isn't too bad, but engineering really pulls the ratio down.

Most of the guys on campus are too shy/awkward to even go near the girls here...especially the ones that are gonna be in her classes.

I'm not shy, i gots that swagga :P

zebes, over the years I have watched ratios at colleges and the dynamics concerned. When the girls substantially outnumber the boys and have to compete for them, things tend to be wilder than when it is the other way around.
