Hi! Quick question: does anybody have recommendations for schools that are strong in gender/sexuality/LGBTQ studies? (Not so much women's studies.) I'm mainly looking at liberal arts colleges, but feel free to suggest anything :) Thanks!

Liberal Arts Colleges
Many LACs offer women’s studies, fewer offer gender studies, and even fewer offer LGBT studies. Here’s a few that come to mind:

Public Universities
You seem to be in California…lots of good choices there! Berkeley and UCLA are especially strong, and UCSC and UCSB are also quite good, but any of the UCs except UCM would be good choices.

Berkeley
[Gender and Women’s Studies](http://womensstudies.berkeley.edu/)

UCLA
[Gender Studies](http://www.genderstudies.ucla.edu/)
[LGBT Studies](http://lgbtstudies.ucla.edu/)

SFSU obviously has a strong tradition in the field, but SDSU and some of the other CSUs do as well.

SFSU
[Women and Gender Studies](http://wgsdept.sfsu.edu/)
[Sexuality Studies & LGBT Studies](https://sxs.sfsu.edu/)

For something a little quirkier, Humboldt State might be worth a look.

Wow, thank you so much for this list! I definitely don’t have the stats for some of these, haha (3.4 UW GPA from competitive high school with huge upward trend and 2200 SAT) but this was really helpful.
I’m in love with Oberlin and Wesleyan (as reaches), so it’s great to know they offer this major. I’ve been looking into Brandeis recently too.
It’s super cool that the UCs are generally good for this! I don’t think I can get into UC Berkeley/LA, but I’m looking into UCSC (and maybe SFSU, since it’s literally down the street) as a safety :)

If you’re interested in studying sexuality and gender - particularly behavioral and health aspects - Indiana University’s School of Public Health hosts the Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Gender and Reproduction.

<a href=“Indiana University Bloomington”>Indiana University Bloomington;

The SPH’s Center for Sexual Health Promotion does a lot of research into sexuality education.

Thanks! I’ve heard a lot about the Kinsey Institute; that sounds really cool :)
