Hello everyone, here are the questions.

How many AP classes are you taking?

Do you think the amount you are taking or plan to take overall will help you get into your dream college?

....just really curious, thanks!

Hello everyone, here are the questions.

Do you think the amount you are taking or plan to take overall will help you get into your dream college?

....just really curious, thanks!

well, I’m taking 10 between Junior and Senior year, and it’ll probably show my motivation and I’m ready for the college level classes.

Junior:
AP Stats
AP Java
AP English Lang
APUSH

Senior:
AP Calc AB
AP English Lit
AP Chem
AP Environmental
AP Gov
AP Latin 5

Senior, 6 this year (macro, us gov, latin lit, calc bc, euro, english lit). And that makes 11 total, I think. lol.

14 exams in total, and no more if I had taken less.

But, in the event I go to my state school, I’d have a number of required courses and electives out of the way.

At the end of senior year, I will have either eight or nine AP Classes taken.

SOPH: AP Euro
JUNIOR: AP Lang, AP Psych + APUSH
SENIOR: AP Lit, AP Biology, AP Gov, AP Calc AB + (AP Environ??)

I think that it is a solid amount of AP classes be a competitive candidate for

Geneseo, Binghamton, Cornell, Middlebury, Rochester + Conn COll =)

Sophomore–APUSH
Junior–APUSH,Bio,English
Senior–Chem,Calc,Stat,Lativ IV,English

Soph: AP Bio, AP Euro
Junior: Calc AP AB, AP Chem
Senior: Calc AP BC, AP Econ, AP Psych

I think I am going to take eleven in total.

Next year (Junior year): AP Spanish Language, APUSH, AP Psychology, AP English Language

Senior Year (Wish me luck guys…I will die): AP Spanish Lit., AP English Lit., AP Govt., AP Enviromental Science, AP Statistics, AP Bio.

Sophomore-APUSH I
Junior–APUSH II/APBio/APPsych/APVirgil
Senior–APES/APStat

:(

i have no idea why CC messes up my posts, but ignore those first couple of lines. srsly, w.t.f.?

You can’t say that x AP’s is a good number because it’s all about the particular school you attend. As long as you’ve taken a reasonable number and did well on the AP test, you’re fine.

I think I have 11 total like a lot of people.

Sophomore year: APUSH
Junior year: AP Calc BC, AP Art History, AP Human Geo, AP English Lang
Senior year: AP Physics B, AP Chem, AP World Hist, AP English Lit, AP French, AP Psych (self study)

I really wish I would have taken AP Vergil instead of French 1 back in 10th grade. Then I could have had 13 APs, since I wouldn’t be taking French, a class I hate (but do very well in).

Since other people are including classes above AP, I’ll mention that in Senior year, depending on timing and payment (I’ve heard I can get the district to pay for it, but I can probably get my parents too if not) I’ll be taking Multivariable at one of the local unis.

soph - WH
junior - Calc BC, Spanish Lang, Human Geo
senior - ES

Lack of APs because the rest are IBs

Here’s the info for my S. Note that I’ve also included college level math classes above AP Calculus, noted with an *.

Soph: AP Calculus BC (5), AP Spanish Language (5), AP Euro History (4)

Junior: Linear Algebra*, AP Physics C, AP English Language, AP US History

Senior (planned): Multivariable Calculus, AP Chemistry, AP English Lit, AP Econ/Govt

Planned…

Sophomore: APUSH I
Junior: AP Lang/Comp, AP Calc BC, APUSH II, AP Micro
Senior: AP Lit/Comp???, AP Enviro, AP Psych, AP Latin (since my teacher insists there won’t be a Vergil after 2010), AP Macro, AP Euro

Junior year is pretty solidified, senior year isn’t.

I’m, next year, taking APUSH and AP Bio. That’s all that’s really offered to juniors.

AP Eng 4, AP Gov/Eco, AP Physics, and AP Biology are the only four AP classes even offered at my school, and I’ve taken the Physics and am taking the others next year.

sophomore: ap gov and ap bio
junior: ap lang, apush, apeuro, ap chem, ap micro, ap maco
senior: ap lit, ap spanish, ap envio science, ap physics, ap calc ab, ap stats, ap psych

Because of all the “required” classes and other garbage, there is a limit to how many courses I can take… (and also because stuff like sports or other electives take up space, and also because our school places a strict limit on exactly 6 classes, and no more)

Soph: AP World
Junior: AP Chem, AP Physics, AP Calc BC, AP English Language, AP U.S. History
Senior: AP Bio, AP Lit, AP French, AP Euro (yeah, mine actually decreases senior year, lmao)

It’s the most difficult I can get…which isn’t even that difficult to begin with.

Millancad, if you took French I in 10th grade, how are you going to take AP French senior year… ?

(I’m guessing you take French I/French II one year and then French III/French IV the next?)

Oh, and here’s mine…
Moved schools after Freshman Year, and the new school has a weird program that doesn’t allow us to take APs unless the AP course cannot be replaced by a course of the special program.

Freshman year: AP Human Geography (4, -_-).
Junior Year: AP US History (self-study), AP Statistics (self-study), AP Calculus BC (self-study), AP Spanish Language (self-study).
Senior Year: AP Art History, AP Computer Science A, AP Physics C Mechanics (self-study), AP Physics C Electricity and Magnetism (self-study).
