General application questions and chance me please!

Hi,

I am a US citizen living in the Middle East and I have been studying the British curriculum my whole life. I am planning to apply to Twin Cities for Management Information Systems and from what it looks like I can only use the normal freshman application and not international.

I have a problem with my SAT score. The last time I sat it was in May and I achieved 1780 and this was at the same time as my AS level examinations so I did not pay much attention. I only decided to apply to Twin Cities and I realized that they wont accept my November SAT score or future December SAT score unlike the other universities I am applying to.
Would it be worth it to try and contact them and see if they would accept my November score at least? Because 1780 is not good for Carlson. If I knew earlier I would be applying here, I wouldve taken the SAT in October.

Secondly, I have a few more questions:

Is it possible for my counselor to send in a reference?

Is there an essay of some sort? I was filling out my application and it never asked for an essay.

Why wouldn’t they accept your other SATs? Yes call if you aren’t sure.

You will have a tough time getting into Ross with those grades.

It says on their website that the latest SAT or ACT scores they would accept is October.

.No essay. Very simple application.

You can always have a recommendation letter sent, but it isn’t something they ask for or seem to care about, so it probably will carry very little weight, if any.

That test deadline is strange. I understand about Dec., as their app. deadline is 12/15, but it seems they ought to accept Nov. scores. You should call admissions and ask if it is an error on the website. Unless there is a real problem with getting your scores on time, the Nov scores should be to the university before 12/15.
