Hey guys, so basically, I’m a high school junior this year, gonna be a senior after the summer. The thing is, over the summer, I wanted to take a Chemistry course at my local community college. The thing, is, I don’t know which one to take. I already take a non-AP level chemistry course this year, so I wanted to take an AP level chemistry course over the summer since I don’t particularly like the AP Chem teachers at my school. The course that is being offered at my CC is General Chemistry 1, so does anybody here know if General Chemistry 1 is AP chemistry, or is just the basics that I already learned in my non-AP chemistry course? Thanks to anybody who answers
General Chemistry 1 is a first semester college course, it is not AP Chemistry. You will likely cover most of the content of AP Chemistry in half the time, or less depending on the pace of the summer course. You will repeat some things you learned in high school chemistry, but it will likely be in greater depth.
