General Chemistry placement test

I went through the quiz and problems of the general Chemistry placement test. Some of the problems in the later parts are not easy. I wonder how you are doing on the test.

I got 24 out of 28. Hope that is not bad.

No, not bad at all.

Should I purposely bomb test to get an extended recitation as chem is not one of my strong points? (sorry for semi thread hijack)

There might be a couple reasons not to. You may surprise yourself and do really well without any help, or if you do struggle, there are plenty of other resources to help out.

If you really do struggle with chemistry, then I guess that wouldn’t be such a bad idea.

Do as well as you can on the diagnostic. There are plenty of helpful resources for Chem, but if you really want the extended recitation I’m sure you can email the chemistry department and request it.

My year you could not request the extended - you had to do poorly.
Honestly, were I to go back in time, I personally would have bombed the diagnostic on purpose.
BUT I had little to no prep in high school chem. as I have said in other posts, my high school only offered one class, and it didn’t even cover redox equations- something of which kit mao expects of everyone (it made chem freshman year miserable, and kit mao’s review sessions were absolute crap for someone who has never seen that material before). I really wish I hadn’t busted my butt studying for the diagnostic.
Of note- I was on the borderline- I failed the diagnostic the first time and had to retake it.
