I have been recently admitted!
So, is every freshmen pre-major?
You can declare major in any area you want right?
I chose accounting, which is not a major/minor offered at
Whitman so, I was wondering if I can study engineering.

I also have question about the Combined Program.
For engineering Combined program,
I want to know how competitive it is and students
chance of getting admitted to affiliated schools.

Go to the academics section of the website, then to majors and minors and to the combined programs pages and from there you can get to departmental home pages where you can email profs with these questions. You cannot major in engineering, but they will put you on a major path that works for admission to the combined programs that are listed. You do not formally declare a major until you are a sophomore. The nice thing about a liberal arts school is that you can major/minor in some areas that are not closely related (eg: physics/music or biochem/theater) and still be set to enter an engineering program so you are not having to focus too narrowly too soon in your development.
