General consensus: Oct 2009 = very easy?

That's what a lot of my friends are saying. With my luck November is going to be ridiculously hard >_<

The CR KILLED me

Math seemed harder than June’s or any Practice test I ever took, CR wasn’t easy, but wasn’t too hard, and writing was just normal. The essay topic though was utter ****.

the CR forum is so intense, lol,
when i popped outta that classroom, im was like im chill with the test. Done.

Yes, the test was much easier.

I still managed to get tricked several times in math and CR though. So score-wise… probably not better.

i thought it was a little easier than normal, probably because i was super focused and prepared though. october, historically, has had a slightly more generous curve than other months, so we can hope for that.

my guesses for the curve:

-2 wrong 800 CR; -3 wrong 780 CR
-0 wrong 800 M; -1 wrong 790/780 M (but hopefully -1 wrong for 800… i can’t ever get 800! agh)
-0 wrong 800 W; -1 wrong 790/780 W

CR = same. Passages = easy (except art one) but questions a little hard.
Math = easy
Writing = holy **** easy.

Math and writing were quite easy, but the CR killed me. Ran out of time on one section with 3 Q’s to go and none of the vocab words I studied seemed to show up.

Math was easy as always for me. Hoping for an 800. Got a 790 last time.
Writing was a lot easier except for the essay. Crossing my fingers for something above a 770 which is what I got last time.

Ahhhh…Critical Reading.
590 last time.
Yuck I know.

This time, hoping for a 680 or better.

I thought it was fairly easy, considering this is the first time I ever took it (besides practice tests). Prep really does a person good. Although, when I looked at the essay prompt, I was thinking “oh crap, what am I gonna write about.” So I just made up examples

I’m hoping to break 2000 on all three. I know this is terrible compared to rest of CC, but to me, it’s a big deal. If I can get 60 Math, 70 Writing, and 70 Reading, I’ll do cartwheels.

After this test, I feel like I can really break it. I thought it was easy.

800 math, 800 writing, 650-750 CR

Math - easy
CR - medium
Writing - easy

Overall, one of the easier SATs. Hoping for a 2300+

I definitely agree with giftedgothic. I NEED a 2000.

I definitely thought it was all much easier than I expected it to be. Since I wasn’t so pressured to get a certain score, I decided to answer every question on the test and see how well I’d do.

The essay kind of threw me off lol.

haha essay topics are ALWAYS weird and every test “generation” always thinks their’s is the weirdest :)

So few people seems to think it was easy compared to others posting on different forums… this was my first time taking SAT, I didn’t think it was easy, and thought the only good prep book was really a English 101. As I’ve gotten a reality check today, the test seems to mainly grade on your English in general ( I actually think even a 7th grader should do well on the test if they have top English), only thing that may stumble one with great English is part of the math… not so much the reading since basically its repharsing what you read, or base of its reading etc… Geez I don’t know but I should have gotten a English 101 book or something, test isn’t really base off what you should have learn in high school etc, simply your English as it seems to me.

Ughh I made a mistake on math, one mistake, ■■■.

Critical reading was pretty good, hoping they don’t count the one about the woman who talks about Willa Cather and her experience with literary criticism (this one included the science fiction / movie thing).

Writing was easy. Made up a lot of crap for the essay. The other things I didn’t run into any problems, but I could have made a mistake.

Overall I felt it was okay.

Please let them scale the math so that 1 wrong is 800, ahhhh.

CR- ehh. I liked some of the passages, but overall I’d say it was medium.
M- I expected it to be so much harder. I was jumping for joy in my seat that it wasn’t lol. It was easy/medium.
W- I’m naturally good at writing, and all the prep we did over the summer really helped. Super easy

Essay- I’m naturally good at writing, and all the prep we did over the summer really helped lol. I’m hoping for a 12, but I got an 11 last time. I’m really hoping for a 12 though.

CR–The first few were easy, but that last passage was a little annoying. But it wasn’t too bad.
M–Not too difficult, but I think I got some wrong… =(
W–Only missed 1 or 2 q’s. My essay was pretty strong and long. Hoping for a 12!
