general ed

can any current students please tell me the names of relatively easy cat II and cat V general ed classes? im looking for courses that are generally non-subjective and are more multiple choice/true false than writing intenstive. thank you very much.

also, any other easy general education course suggestions would be great

thanks alot.

All the GE classes at USC are pretty writing and critical thinking intensive to better engage the students.

If you're looking for classes in which the professor is good and grades easily, what I recommend is to look for a class you're interested in, go to senatecourseguide.com and look up the prof. They have the classes the professors taught next to each review entry, so you can take a look and see what the students thought about their grading policy, difficulty of tests, etc.

GE classes are a tough one because they often change the classes and the profs who teach them. One class I took in the fall a friend of mine took in the spring with a different prof and found it to be a really hard class.

The reviews on senate course guide are quite subjective. They do not represent every student that has taken a class with a specified professor and usually represent students that either really loved or really hated him/her.

Also, know that bad reviews are often posted by people who got a bad grade and are taking it out on the profs rating.

So you do have to read them knowing they're mostly biased, but they're still immensely useful.
