I will be transferring to UNC as a junior and I have been looking at the general ed requirements and it looks like quite a few of my basic studies are not matching up. Even these connections which are supposedly easy will be a pain for me. I intend to enter the business school and that plus around 6-7 general education courses is going to really mess up my plans. There is no way I will graduate on time, but I do not want to spend another 4 years! I wanted so badly to come to Carolina but this is really making me frustrateddddd. Please tell me I am missing something. I know they are for BA majors in CAS but the business school does not make any distinction other than to fill university requirements and I was also planning on double majoring with BA but so much for that. Can anyone tell me anything about this. Thanks!

It really depends on your gen-ed requirements. Sometimes one class can knock out 4-5 gen-ed requirements. Try to email an adviser at UNC and see what advice they can give you.

Hey Bezukhov, Can you post the link to the site where you found the requirements please? I’ve been trying to find them unsuccessfully for the past week lol

I was able to find a few that overlap like packerfan89 suggested and I thought I was set. Sure enough when I went to register today, two of the classes say they are open but in fact are closed. I have had to make atleast 20 calls to random departments and I was never even assigned an advisor…

I set up an advising appt and it was potluck, I called advising and was told when I set up the appt online based on my major and reason they will automatically choose appropriate advisors and you just choose from the list

Guys, can advisors override you in a class?
