So after reviewing ALL of the general ed requirements before ctops the other day, I noticed that I may not be able to graduate on time if I double major because of these pesky things. Does anyone know a way to knock them out fast? I noticed some courses fulfill 2, sometimes 3, requirements. Any suggestions?

Summer school?

Look at a FYS that will net you a lot of credit. Other than that, see if the classes you need for your majors will meet a gen ed requirement. Also, there’s credit from AP classes that can count, if you didn’t check those out.

Some classes will fulfill a lot of requirements at once - I know I took Ancient Cities because it got me 4-ish things in one sweep. Success!

Double majors usually have to do summer school at some point too.

Yeah, I am not worried about going to a few summer sessions or maymesters. I just wanted to know a quick and easy way to accomplish the gen ed requirements. I will look into the ancient cities class, thanks for your replies! :)

You can definitely knock out the majority of those Gen Ed Requirements during the first year. You can use ConnectCarolina to narrow your searches for specific categories too.

You’ll have no problem double majoring if your manage your class selections the right way.

For all of you seasoned Heels out there…

What are some of the best classes you’ve taken that fulfill these requirements? I don’t want to take something horrendously boring!
