General FinAid question for OOS

<p>Oh, I wasn’t posting that info so that you would apply to them. I was posting that info to show how expensive it is to go to an OOS public - since OOS publics typically cannot meet need.</p>

<p>If you’re going to look at OOS privates, look for ones that “meet 100% of need WITHOUT loans.” Vandy is one of those schools. I realize that some schools meet need with very small capped loans, but since no school can completely cover every small cost that faces a college student, it would be nice to reserve your use of loans to cover THOSE costs.</p>

<p>My nephew is at Vandy, and his roomie is on Full Aid, but he’ll tell you that there are still things that aren’t covered. So the roomie takes out a sub-loan Stafford to cover those costs He’ll graduate with about $10k in loans - not too bad.</p>
