<p>UVa is supposed to be good with FA for OOS students.</p>
<p>I don’t know about UNC-CH. I would email both schools FA offices and tell them your EFC and ask what you can expect in FA. Ask if they will likely award gov’t grants, institutional grants, student loans, or a combo.</p>
<p>There’s no point in applying to various schools if there’s going to be huge gaps in aid and/or huge student loans.</p>
<p>BTW…are you award that oftentimes financial aid is student loans? How much total are you willing to borrow for the two years you have left for undergrad? How much will your parents co-sign for? (you can only sign for small amounts)</p>

<p>What privates in Calif are you applying to? </p>
<p>What is your current GPA? There are some Calif privates that are better with aid and scholarships for transfers.</p>
