General personal statement advice (I don't need essay readers)

I have to write a personal statement for a dual enrollment program at the most prestigious college within driving distance of my house. I'm a junior, and by the end of the year I'll have taken the four AP classes my school has, and most of the honors, so I'd really like to get in.

It's one page, and they basically want me to tell why I want to go there and what courses I plan to take.
I'm really not sure how to make it sound intelligent without being pretentious or boring, so if anyone has any advice for it would be awesome. Thanks!

Bump…

You should definitely do some research about the school. When you do the research, try to find some interesting facts or places you can see yourself in at the school and then incorporate it in the essay. Try to relate the essay to some experiences or interests you have to show that you’re dedicated or passionate about going there.
