general question about common app

<p>if i'm applying to a school early action, when i submit the common app and the school's supplements, will i be sending the common app to all the other schools that i'm planning to apply to in regular decision? (all the other schools in "my colleges")</p>

<p>if that does happen then say i get into my top choice ea, i'll only be applying to a couple of the other schools (i won't need to apply to safeties). what about the other schools to which i've sent the common app to? they'll just disregard me since i didn't do the supplements right?</p>

<p>Before submitting the common app, it asks to check the colleges you want to submit at that point of time. Though you can not modify your common app after submitting it to a specific college - say early action - you can take your time to work on the supplements of others colleges.</p>

<p>You can modify it after you submit. However, they discourage trying to customize it for each college and use this choice mainly for fixing errors.</p>
