I was just wondering if a first-generation college applicant has more of an advantage compared to a person with similar stats, but their parents are college graduates?

Also, if you have multiple siblings how does it affect things?

At many schools, yes, being first-generation is considered a plus.

Keep in mind a lot of times it means ATTENDED not necesarily GRADUATED from high school

Multiple siblings...

For financial aid, number of siblings at home is used in the calculation of Estimated Family Contribution. If two (or more) of you are in college at the same time, that also affects financial aid.

I don't think it plays on admissions.
