Ok, so i know its possible to get into a great school with a good gpa and bad sat scores. But wat about the other way around. i have a bad gpa (3.2 unweighted and 3.7 weighted) and good sat scores like above 2000. will this look really bad and has anyone gotten accpeted to a great school (emory, tufts, upenn etc) with a situation kinda like this?

It's possible. That profile is usually taken to mean two things. One is good, one is bad. The rest of your application will probably be used to determine how yours is viewed.

The good possibility: You go to a really tough, harsh-grading school and have been challenging yourself.

The bad possibility: I've heard this called the "slacker profile". Meaning, you're smart (hence the good test scores), but have a poor work ethic (hence the bad grades).
