It would be easier to get into the college of Arts and Sciences as opposed to the college of engineering Correct? I mean, not just at duke, but for other colleges like Rice and cornell too. I'm considering majoring in bioengineering or just biology so would CAS be the best/highest chance of acceptance?

they are equally hard.......

It's definitely not easier to get into Trintity than into Pratt, and vice-versa. if you want to go into engineering, apply to Pratt. If not, apply to Trinity.

As far as I know both are pretty hard to get into. The difference is that people who apply to to Pratt are more focused on engineering.

Lol, I love people on this forum; they are actually more helpful than my guidance counselor!

Anyway, I was on the Vandy forum and ppl said that females have a higher acceptance rate for the engineering school.....is this true at Duke as well?

Yes i think it's true anywhere. I hear that only 20% of engineering undergrads are female!! Obvi they'll try to recruit more girls
