general studies/bachelors degree

So If I go into general studies for my bachelors degree and after I get my bachelors in general studies and I finally know what I want to do ie graphic or interior design(I am torn between the two) does this mean I should go to grad school?

Don’t get a bachelor’s in general studies. That’s really not good for anything. Take design classes and decide along the way.

Not to mention grad school in those subjects may require a strong portfolio - which you wouldn’t have if you weren’t studying some form of art and design in undergrad.

Take intro courses in those topics as early as you can to see what you like. A bachelor’s in general studies suggests no interests, or indecisive, and isn’t appealing to employers who are wondering what you’re actually skilled to do.

If you’re that uncertain, take some time off of school and work for a bit. Or job shadow people working in those fields.
