General Transfer Advice

Hey, so I'm probably going to be transferring out of my current school... a multitude of reasons, the biggest being that they apparently are having financial trouble and my scholarship to a hit. And, to be honest, this place kinda sucks. Here are my stats yo:

College GPA: 3.94 (Economics/English major)
High School GPA: 3.2
SATs: 2290 (taken it 3 times)
Extracurriculars: I don't know if this stuff really matters anymore... but I'm in clubs and crap. Not really any kind of passion right now.
Work Experience: Some. No huge ass internships or anything.

I was intitially considering Northeastern University (in Boston, they have a great co-op program), but as it seems likely they'll offer very little aid that's probably not in the cards. I know that my college stats and SATs are really high... but I don't know how high they are in the world of transfers. I've heard stories about some of these place that accept like 4 out of 40,000 a year. So. What level school can I be looking at here? Ivy League level or not?

Sophomore transfer or Junior transfer?

You will need to apply to a variety of schools. Having financial need in the transfer process makes the acceptance rate lower for almost all schools. Even schools that don’t consider your need when they accept you still might gap your financial aid package. Can you afford an instate school?

everyone seems to be have trouble getting financial aid from northeastern

im assuming that you would definitely get in there, right? guys? but maybe not with aid

I’ll be a sophomore transfer, for clarification. I can afford a state university with no aid, and I’m prepared to go there. It’s a fine school and all… but I don’t know, I’d rather not.
