I'm currently a freshman at a 3-tier university wanting to get a personalized response as to what level of universities I could potentially transfer to.

GPA: 3.85

Activities:
1 of 5 freshman to receive research grant -> research in CS
Research in Physics - completely seperate from CS
Done work with autonomous submarine team
Participate in Computer Science competitions, my team of freshman did best out of entire school at ACM regionals, almost advanced to world finals

I am extremely new to the transfer process, I wanted specifically to know what level of universities I could transfer to? Scholarship information on transfers would be helpful aswell. My highschool gpa is not great, SAT was 1430. Is transfering out of first year feasible or is second year the norm?

if you are a freshman how do you know your gpa already? even if those grades are final, one semester is not much to go off of

second year is the norm for transfers…if you have a weak hs record you may want to apply for junior year

what exactly is your hs gpa? if you want help this is not something you can really hide from us…your hs gpa will be the biggest factor in your transfer admission at this point

For general information about the transfer process, read the sticky thread at the top of this forum: Transfer Admissions 101.

People transfer as both entering soph and jrs, but you will be assessed more on your HS record and test scores as a soph transfer and more on your college record as a jr transfer. Your stats and which year you apply will affect which schools you schools you should apply to.

While there are scholarships available to transfers, they are much rarer than for freshman admissions. Here is a thread with some possibilities:
