General vs Class-related fees

<p>Figuring Cost of Attendance and need info on a typical semester’s fees. Specifically, I need the “general” fees that are charged each semester (or year) as well as, (and oppossed to) fees that are incurred only due to enrollment in a specific class, such as lab fees.</p>

<p>I would appreciate any actual fees/amounts you’d be kind enough to share.</p>

<p>My D had to buy a soldering iron kit for her ECE 131 class. It cost $60. She also joined IEEE. That was optional.</p>

<p>I was thinking there would be General Fees such as Activity, Rec Center, Registrar, whatever (colleges are getting pretty creative).</p>

<p>there aren’t any “general fees”.</p>

<p>Wow. Much different than OU and other schools who are adding/increasing fees instead of increasing tuition. GREAT!</p>

<p>I ran the Net Price Calc the other day and it estimates $365 per semester for Course Fees… if that’s any help. It also listed $260 for a parking decal.</p>

<p>Strange, it has $1,121 estimated for fall Misc and $1,120 for the spring :slight_smile: wonder what the extra $1 goes to in the fall.</p>

<p>Many other colleges charge various fees like Activity Fees, and Rec Center Fees. Bama doesn’t do that. </p>

<p>Are you saying that your scholarship papers stated that your scholarship covers tuition and fees? You need to locate those papers.</p>
