So, all year I'd had a list of colleges I was going to apply to, and while many were reaches, they weren't out of my grasp. But now I'm probably going to end up with C's in Honors Chemistry and H2 Pre-Calculus; while all my friends tell me that since I want to go into history, that won't matter, but I know thats a HUGE lie. All schools prefer math and science classes over the humanities/social sciences (you can't deny that; ever since the education reforms due to the scare caused by Sputnik, our nation has been lopsided-edly biased towards the left-brainers, as they're more economically viable), so I think I'm in a lot of trouble. When my parents found out (my mom is a computer engineer, and my dad is a chemist at the water department), I was told I'd end up at the community college and would have to be a secretary. I'm going to ignore them, because while I don't think I'll end up at my old number one, I still have better options than that.

I need to know what schools I can reasonably apply to. I'm well below where I wanted to go, but I'd like to go to a good school... with possibly transfering to my old number 1 in mind, or the option to stay.

My top schools [before I screwed up]:
The College of William and Mary
University of Virginia
UNC Chapel Hill
Boston College

Any suggestions? BTW, I need target schools, I obviously have my reaches above [not holding my breath on those!] and my safeties are my local state schools... UMass Amherst and UMass Lowell.
