To be honest, it seems to me the college admissions process is somewhat random; and to make matters worse I only know one person who even applied to a top-20 university that attends my school. But maybe someone (or rather, a lot of people) can sort things out and help me decide where to apply and what to expect (and hope for!). I guess I'll just list my stats, ECs, awards etc.

Male, White, middle-class
Attend a C school in central Florida
[Only one person has gone to a top-20 university from my school in its 15 year history, as far as I know; person was an athelete, good student, science-fair winner and female going to MIT which is, as far as I know, a definite bonus in their admissions.]

[Appearently this is really good around here because the principal was really excited and spoke about me in his speech at the annual Awards Ceremony]

SAT IIs: taking on 6/3, probably will get--
~800 Math 2, 750+ US History, and who knows for Physics, we skipped a lot of chapters so I have to study on my own time but I hope a 700+

DECA (Marketing Club) in 9th and 10th [got 2nd place for school in 9th, and an award for Marketing Math for county in 10th, not really important because Im far left politically and opted to move away from business and toward political debate hence debate club]

I think that summarizes my life. My ECs could be better but I'm really shy and not exactly a dynamic personality. Academically Im probably the best student at my school in 10 years+, so I can get REALLY good recomendations.

What are my chances at (Im assuming its a big reach) at MIT, Stanford, or any Ivy (esp. Brown)?
