<p>Any thoughts? My daughter is torn between the two- she loves the laidback and outdoorsey atmosphere at Bates as well as the outdoor opportunities in Maine and was wondering if the atmosphere at Geneseo is similar to that at Bates.</p>
<p>IMO, if it is economically feasible, go to Bates. If its going to cost you a lot of money or cause you to take out substantial loans to go to Bates, then I’d say go to Geneseo. Bates and Geneseo are both liberal arts school so I’d imagine the atmosphere would be similar (read: close-knit community, small class size)</p>
<p>Geneseo is a ghost town with no diversity or anything to do besides 1 block of lame stores</p>
