So Geneseo has one with Upstate Medical School. But there's not info on CC for it! I have some information, because my friend is a freshman there, but he isn't able to tell me if you have to be a science major there.

bumppp. also I think that starting this year the students have to take the MCAT :(

It quite clearly says you need to be a bio major:

"In order to formally apply for the Program, you must submit an application to Geneseo via either the preferred Common Application (www.commonapp.org) or SUNY Application, and select Biology as your major. "

^I wish it were that simple. But I e-mailed an admissions counselor and asked, and she said no. (?) So that’s why I’m wondering if any student there currently is not a bio major?

I’m curious…was this BS/MD program in existence last year (with Geneseo)?

^yes! my friend graduated last year (class of 2011) and is in the program now. he’s a biochem major.

The upstate program is not specific to Geneseo except for the one where you need to live in a rurual disadvantaged area. If you go on the upstate website, anyone with SATs over 1300 and 3.5 GPA can apply in their sophomore year. You interview for one of 25 spots guaranteeing admission at the end of your undergrad if you get a certain MCAT score.
