yeah. That’s what she meant. Which one is better? Binghamton or Geneseo…

I really dunt know abt this. lol. :P

From what I heard Geneseo has a higher SAT and GPA stat. It is about 1/2 the size of Binghamton and is a very respectable school. The reason I did not apply to Geneseo is because it is in the middle of nowhere.
I will be a Binghamton freshman in the fall. I know there is a Walmart and Target a few bus stops away. Traveling there is very convenient. From friends who have friends at Bing, they say that they have made many friends at Bing, are never bored, and love love lovee it. I think the only downside to Binghamton is probably the weather, since it can get pretty cold/snowy. But I’m guessing that’s the same to any upstate NY college.

Foargo, it is a link, genius.

Both schools have been extremely competitive this year with about 13 applicants for every opening. Geneseo is in the lake effect snow area off both Lake Erie and Ontario but other than a little less snow the weather is about the same for both. Binghamton is more widely known outside of New York State. Geneseo is a small school with a more personal touch in a quintessential small college town; Binghamton is 5 times the size in a small city with a little bit more going on. Bing gets a lot of students from the metro NY and Long lsland areas. Geneseo a lot from upstate NY. It really depends on what you are into…

As Ebenezer said, it depends on what you want. I’m from Long Island and I didn’t want a super long drive which basically eliminated Geneseo. Also I am going to major in Politics, Philosophy and Law and I heard that Geneseo was more of a teacher’s college and not really good for poli sci… But hey, if you don’t mind the drive (or if it isn’t one anyway) and you like the smaller feel, then Geneseo is good. Personally, I prefer a mid-sized university to a small college (more room to find people like me) so another reason why i liked Binghamton better.
