Genetic Engineering - grammar Q from March 10 SAT

3 math questions = 750? O.o I'd love that curve.

hmm.. 3 questions is a very hard place to be, because when calculating the raw square those 3/4 extra deduction will knock you two points from the raw score for 2 incorrect.. rather than knocking you 1. know what i mean? probably not 750 (maybe!) but .. 740/30? dunno.

maybe:

54 800
53 780
52 760
51 750
50 730
49 710
48 690

I have no idea. Is that close?

no it goes from 790 to 760 i believe.

-1 can't be 790 this time. This test was too easy. xD

it was deff. choice D

it was deff. choice D

explain???

99.9% sure that it was D. i contemplated over that question for quite a few minutes lol.

can you guys please explain? everyone is saying D but nobody wil tell me why :(

Going back to the math curve question, -3 being a 750, yeah right. last test -1m.c. and -1 s.r. was a 760, -3m.c. on this test which was easier should be around a 720.

all i know is my writing score will make up for bad math :)

bumpbumpbump

wow. -3 is 730-720..........................
LOVELY. just lovely.

How can you remember these questions.

Its not that difficult

Can someone please explain the question? I think I put the choice which included at the end "a development that could increase crop yields." Although it appeared as a misplaced modifier, there was a similar type of syntax question in the Blue Book which had a similar type of answer.

I am certain that the correct answer is D, I remember identifying the exact reason, too... If I recall correctly, it was a dangling modifier. However, I cannot remember the exact question. I can, however, remember the beginning: Although genetic enginering has it proponents and opponents,... a development that could increase crop yields.

what was choice D, evanw?

mannn... I don't remember which one I put. I had A at first but I changed it to something. I didn't like any of the answers.
