Geographic Aspects of Student in Admission Process

Allow me to get right to the point...

I live in a rural town but go to school in the city. My commute per day is roughly 2 hours. (I have been doing this commute since I was in 6th grade and I now am entering 11th grade.)

Is this long commute into school something that will be taken into account by admission officers?

Thanks a lot.

I don’t completely understand… Do you want them to consider the commute because you could not do ECs due to the amount of time it takes to get home or just as something that shows effort on your part. Either way I think you can get your counselor to mention it, but I don’t think it will be a huge deal in admissions officers eyes…

Most schools only look at your transcript/test scores. Your metrics will be dropped into a formula and a decision is spit out. What type of schools are you targeting

I have been able to participate in some good EC’s because I have managed my time pretty well. I have just heard that sometimes schools consider this kind of thing.

Also, for T26E4, I am considering schools such as Gonzaga, Vanderbilt, Michigan, and Stanford (and some others).

Thanks again
