Just another junior researching/obsessing over McGill, and I was curious about the size and strength of McGill's Geography: Urban Systems major. It seems like this department would be a bit small, but McGill does have a fairly large Urban Planning Master's program so I figured it would be decent. Anyways--if anyone has information on the Geography Urban Systems dept. (or even the Geography major), that would be great! Merci!

i'm a junior too (researching the myriad of possible post-secondary opportunities), and i thought the "urban systems" major sounded really cool, especially since it's montreal. i was thinking the exact same thing about the size of the program (a little small), but mcgill definitely is reputable (at least in canada), and i'm sure it excels in all streams of study, so... also, i think urban systems (or urban studies, whatever) compared to other majors and other areas of study is really specialized for an undergraduate degree, so it might not just be mcgill that has a small program, it's categorical. i think. lol.

western (university of western ontario) has an "urban development" major, which seems really similar, but the breadth of the course offerings is somewhat greater, considering the university itself is bigger than mcgill by about 10,000 students.

again, if anyone has information on geography at mcgill (or any other university--lol, i've just totally broadened the discussion), it would be GREATLY appreciated. thanks.
