No one ever talks about geology and thats what I applied...Come on!

Not too many geology majors on here. Ophiolite is working on a PhD at Wisconsin, and I'm majoring in Earth & Ocean Sciences at Duke.

There are also a few parents working in the geological sciences that browse the forums from time to time. Feel free to PM me for any advice or info.

Cheers!

I work with a number of Geo-technical engineers. They are great fun. It's a great field--very exciting, travel around the world prospects. It's also a good field for the anti-"8-to-5-at-a-desk" crowd.

I think I am one of those parent browsers. I have had a great career financially as a geologist, and also I have really enjoyed both the practice and science of geology throughout. LEt me know if you have any questions
