Hello, I am a current an 8th grade student going to high school this year. I am currently taking Algebra 1 Honors and I would like to know if it would be a bad idea to take Geometry Honors during the summer online, so I can go to Algebra II in my freshman year. What do you guys think?
Nope, always a good idea to jump ahead. If you could double up and skip Algebra II to Precalc (they cover very similar topics) do it. If you don’t like math, don’t do it.
Um, really? No, it’s not.
Unless your school is weird, you should be on track to take calculus your senior year, OP.
Geometry is really fun, IMO, but the general wisdom is that you either have no trouble with it at all or it’s a very hard class. It’s best to have a real teacher just in case the latter is true.
And besides, you should be focusing on building up a VERY solid foundation in high school mathematics.
