Just 2 days ago I had a 100% in Geometry, everything was well, but she doesn’t teach class at all. I’ve brought this up several times with the principal and many other authority. She grades her tests unfairly and ruins all of our grades. I was the top performer in the class. Now, we just took this test and EVERYONE failed it. I have a 65.8% in the class from a 100%!!! What can I even do now? It’s not only me, I am still rank 1 with that bad of a grade, something is going on here.
@Bxtays did “everyone” fail it because the teacher graded unfairly or because the class was ill-prepared?
If everyone fails then:
- Teacher is not teaching well
- Material is not on what she taught
- Expecting too much from you
- You are not studying/doing enough problems.
When you ssaid she grades your tests unfairly, what does that mean?
I would try to put together factual info and then talk to your parents about talking to the head of the math department.
Not “she is unfair” but “She told us the test was on chapters 2 and 3 but the test was on chapter 4” or “I showed my work, but made one addition error and got a 0 for the question. Is that the standard way tests are graded in this department?” or “She never lectured on this topic nor assigned homework for it.”
Also sometimes when all the kids fail, the teacher either curves the grades or offers retests to make sure you have learned the material. Even though you have a 65%…what is the real outcome on your grade?
