THE 12-STEP “LIBERAL” RECOVERY PROGRAM
(Or, how to become a Real American)

Admit you are a liberal, and seek help.

Tune in Fox News and conservative talk radio.

Get a job and get off welfare.

Stop blaming others for your problems.

Tear down your rainbow flag, put up the American flag, and learn the Pledge of Allegiance.

Buy a gun, learn how to use it, and prepare to defend yourself, your family and your community from criminals and terrorists.

Drive an SUV - carry extra gas.

Repeat, every morning, “Except for stopping communism, fascism and genocide, war never solved anything.” Then go out and support our troops.

Quit using illegal drugs.

Stop trying to get special privileges in life based on your race, religion, or sex.

Stop believing that there is one set of rules for everyone else, and a special set of rules for you.

Love your country and appreciate the freedoms that so many men fought and died to win and preserve!

Haha, the "some people say" portion was great. That way they don't have to reveal that their sources are actually their own right-winged propaganda.
I've always heard rumors that Bill O'Reily was volatile before watching the documentary, but it was simply astounding to how he wouldn't let Jeremy Glick speak.

I wouldn't even go there with Clinton and anti-terrorism.

He made a speech in Long Island in February 2002, where he said that during his presidency, he had the opportunity to have Bin Laden turned over to our country - might have been from the Sudanese - but he could not hold Bin Laden because he "had nothing to hold him on."

You can here it right here, if you have Quicktime: http://www.newsmax.com/audio/BILLVH.mp3

When your mindset is to treat terrorism like a law enforcement issue, that's not rational.

His direct quote: "So I pleaded with the Saudis to take him." How could he offer Bin Laden to the Saudis, unless he had an opportunity to give Bin Laden to them?

And of course his pardons of all those unsavory characters like Marc Rich, and the Puerto Rican terrorists who killed NY cops - just in time for MRS. Clinton's carpetbag run for Seantor from NY - was a terrific stand for rationality and against terrorism.

I understand . . . it's chic to like Bill Clinton, especially since all the "cool" people in Hollywood and the media like him. He's what many would consider a lovable rogue. Personally, he gives me the willies.

And to c*** all over Bush is really in vogue, especially for 17-year-olds and those on college campuses.

But we'll see what happens when they're both dead and gone. History has a way of sorting it all out.

this is funny

And Leah377, you would be right, except with your sentence you're implying that dissent is always intelligent. Many times dissent can be mindless.

I went with members of my family to see the President a couple of years ago. When we came out of the stadium, there were protestors there. I attempted to pass by them, holding my six-year-old niece's hand. She was genuinely excited to see the President. But we were harrassed by these protestors, holding up nasty posters, and yelling at me that I was commiting child abuse by bringng my niece to see a "war criminal."

Was that dissent patriotic? I don't think so, especially how the dissenters subjected my niece to that disgusting display.

I'm a partner in a CPA firm, with an MBA. I'm a highly intelligent person who thinks for myself. Because I went to that event, does that make me mindlessly submissive, because I didn't dissent and was interested in what the President had to say? I don't think so.

Which was more patriotic in this case?

Anyway, for what it's worth, my 2 cents on the matter!

"Just because I'm not fond of the clintons doesn't mean I'm a Fox News fan. That's not logical, nor would it describe those Democrats who were ashamed of Clinton and his disgraceful behavior. Decent people from all political persuasions were disgusted with him."

I agree. Just as decent people from all political persuasions are horrified by Bush's appalling, disgraceful presidency. (Although since he didn't mess with an intern, he must be a great guy!)

At least the Clinton administration tried catching bin Laden. The Bush administration completely gave up, because they felt it was more important to catch someone that wasn't an imminent threat to the United States.

The Clinton situation is comparable to Bush having the ability to prevent 9/11. The United States knew about the attack before it occured. Israeli intelligence gave the United States a heads up. But it would be convenient for the attacks to occur. Bush gets to enforce his legislation, and proceed on towards a regime change. Richard Clarke was told to find evidence on Iraqi involvement in the 9/11 terrorist attacks, but obviously there was no evidence. Yet we still invaded Iraq.

I agree with you, Hindoo. that Bush's presidency has not been the greatest. but at least he doesn't stick his finger in the wind, or conduct focus groups for EVERY political decision. Or hand over 1/7 of the US economy to his wife to tinker with. Or, as you say, mess with an intern.

I'm sorry, that just makes me sick. That girl was Chelsea's age. Bleech!

All kidding aside, didn't you want to just kick him in the a** for that?

I like not being American. Don't get me wrong, the USA is great, but man oh man, politics = HA.

No, you guys are completely ridic. You're stuck in your high school ultra liberal phase, and you're going to hate him no matter what. I'm not a republican, nor a democrat. But I know the president isn't some chimpanzee sitting in the whitehouse tryting to bang a square peg into a round hole, like most of you try to convey him as.

I'm not saying you should "mindlessly submit", that's such a programmed answer... I'm saying is you need to stop listening to what the press says, and take a step back and analyze it for yourself.

Trust me, I'm not this man's biggest fan ever. But bush bashign really does make people look less intelligent to me. My ex was a crazy liberal and she'd just be like "LOL HE'S SO DUBM!!!" I don't think I'd date a liberal again, for reasons like that.

So take a step away from both sides of partisian politics, and look for the truth in the middle...

Bush isn't a moron. That's why he's a dangerous President. He's had well thought out reasons for every action hes taken, and even the most extreme Liberal should be able to see that. What makes Bush a Jr. a terrible President is that he's applying his own personal, christian morality to matters of state, and that despite having logic (sound or not I'm not one to judge) behind his actions, he has failed to accomplish anything useful or productive. To pull one out of the GOP's own book: "Are you better off now than you were 4 years ago?" Clearly not. How about 6 years ago?

I didn't think so.

Bush is not evil, nor does he have only the intelligence of a chimp. He is simply grossly incompetent, which is far worse for a leader than questionable morals or idiocy. Inteliigence clearly doesn't make for a great leader- look to Jimmy Carter. And Richard Nixon was as slimy as they come, but he did great things for the nation, (excepting the escalation of Vietnam of course).

Brandon's mom it's pretty clear your dislike for BC centers around the BJ. My question is why are you dismissive of GW's drug and alcohol abuse? I can understand that cheating on your wife is a terrible thing to do. A violation of trust. But what are you defending? Isn't cocaine abuse and alcohol abuse also terrible? Is the moral line you draw in the sand, the best position you could take?

If character matters for one, shouldn't it also matter for the other?

And while I appreicate your professional choice and your MBA, it does not mean you can make a mistake, does it? The best saying I've heard recently is about an ivy education and what it means... "it doesn't necessarily make you smarter, it does mean however that your mistakes tend to be bigger." :)

Whoever said Bush is a great president has clearly not been keeping up on recent world events. I mean look at the current-day situation in Iraq, look at the way he handled the devestation of hurricane Katrina. This man, is clearly anything BUT a good president.

I find it quite idiotic when people think of MONICA LEWINSKY when they think of clinton... Thats his PERSONAL life! I guess you people must like Bush because the economy is bad now and much better in the 1990s. IDIOTS

we're all idiots kirk and you're the supposedly smart person who once again fails to understand what he's talking about.

Bush is God

And how so? Offer me a logical explination and maybe I'll reconsider my hatred towards him.

Because with him as president, all the gas prices are coming down!

Step 1: Raise Gas Prices Really High through manufactured instability in the Mid-East

Step 2: ????

Step 3: Profit!

Proof Bush is god!

Psshhhh. I'll pay gas even if it's higher. I love flooring my V8 and watching the needle go down.

Live life for the passionate moments. Don't pull that "Responsibility for the future" crap on me... haha. I <3 capitalism!
