No, I don't watch fox news everyday, I watch telemundo.

Brandon's Mom: "I agree with you, Hindoo. that Bush's presidency has not been the greatest. but at least he doesn't stick his finger in the wind, or conduct focus groups for EVERY political decision. Or hand over 1/7 of the US economy to his wife to tinker with. Or, as you say, mess with an intern.
I'm sorry, that just makes me sick. That girl was Chelsea's age. Bleech!
All kidding aside, didn't you want to just kick him in the a** for that?

Yes--I was enraged (and still am) at Clinton over the Lewinsky thing. It was disgusting and disgraceful. A powerful kick in the a*** is the least he deserved! However, America's fascination with sexual exploits seems to blind us to what's really awful out there. Invading Iraq for no reason and creating hell on earth for our soldiers and Iraqi citizens is, in my humble opinion, far worse than a pathetic, oversexed, bad-boy president who couldn't keep his pants zipped. Clinton was disgusting. Bush is far, far worse.

"Yes--I was enraged (and still am) at Clinton over the Lewinsky thing. It was disgusting and disgraceful. A powerful kick in the a*** is the least he deserved!"
It was only a blowjob.

"It was only a blowjob."

Yes, perhaps it was only a blowjob. Do you think a blowjob is more criminal than than what Bush has been up to these past few years? I'd like to know.

Any violation of our country's christian principles should be resolved by hanging.

^ whoa there.

Simmadown.

A bj is a bj. It's not like Clinton was committing hate crimes or starting genocide.

Its not surprising that so many have such utter lack of the fundamental issues involved in the Lewinsky matter, as the liberal media has done everything it can to keep people uninformed.

Clinton was in fact held in contempt by Judge Wright and suspended from the practice of law. His flat out lyiing was not merely about a "BJ" - he was explicitely ordered to respond to the questioned posed by the lawyers present by Judge Wright herself, and testified in a highly misleading fashion, holding back on RELEVANT evidence that Jones in her discovery process had a lawful right to obtain in her (in effect sexual harassment) case. Bill Clinton himself signed the law assuring plaintiffs that such evidence in such case would be reachable, in this case pattern evidence of an employers possible coercive sexual relationships with employees

The claimed "lack of materiality" issue itself hinged on the very absense of the information Clinton himself held back, and yet the media for months focused on the materiality issue as if it actually detracted from the charges against Clinton

As Judge Wright stated in her contempt ruling: "The
record demonstrates by clear and convincing evidence that the President responded to plaintiff's questions by giving false, misleading and evasive answers that were designed to obstruct the judicial process."

As many have forgotten the originating case derived not from the Lewinsky matter but from Ms Paula Jones' lawsuit where she presented significant factual evidence that then Governor Bill Clinton (technically assaulted) Ms Jones by exposing himself and demanding sexual favors from her - after calling her to his suite in a hotel. Clinton despite denying all this for many months and Hillary Clinton's relentless attacks on Ms Jones, ended up settling out of court for 850,000 dollars - and in effect made the Jones case disappear - all for an act he claimed never happened

Is this why Bush/Cheney refuse to do anything while under oath? :) Who says those guys are dumb.:) Is this why Ted Stevens refused to put the oil execs under oath? Who says those guys are dumb? :)

If you refuse to be "under oath" (as long as congress and senate stay the same) you can't be accused of lying "under oath" Who says these guys are dumb? :)

We'll know in a few weeks if our sitting president/vice president will provide testimony "under oath" or not. There's alot at stake for a mid term isn't there? :)

Brandon's Mom: Isn't FDR considered one of the greatest presidents in the history of this nation? (and) Didn't he also have an affair?

^ Yes I get the same notion , almost all of the best presidents have had affairs, Kennedy , FDR , and Clinton. Lewinsky was paid by the republican party to put a stain on the great Clinton administration. First of all why would a intern, who I suppose is intrested in haing a political career , go out on national television and tell everyone that she had an affair with the president. Anyone would know that after that scene her political career was over and even any other career. So why would a woman go on tv risk her future so that she could end up flipin burgers at Burger King. It just is all logic and common sense.

WHO CARES! The guy can do whatever the hell he wants on his own time. I don't see why it ****ed people off so much. I mean, what people do on their own time is no one else's concern. I always say: Do whatever you want..as long as you do it away from me.

The fact that Clinton had sexual relations with an intern wasn't what angered people, it was mainly because he lied under oath.

can you blame him? 300 million people are breathing down his neck and demanding an answer...why would he say something to make them angry?

Lying is still immoral, regardless of the circumstances.

PS. I'm not saying I dislike Clinton because he lied (well, I dislike Clinton, but for other reasons) I'm just presenting the other side of the argument.

Don't you get bored of the same lines? The liberal media this...the liberal media that... The media doesn't "try" to keep people uninformed. It just goes for whatever MAKES MONEY. The fellatio sold papers. The legal issues? Nope.

Besides, it should read a little more like...this:

^ yes yes, exactly.

Clinton's lying under oath was immoral and embarrassing. Still, I guess in a pathetic way I can understand why he lied--doesn't make it right, but it was probably a gut, knee-jerk reaction to being caught. And, of course, he later repented. I have yet to hear Bush repent for ANYTHING, and personally, I believe there's plenty he should be asking forgiveness for, and things far worse than diddling with an intern.

Bush believes in what he is doing.

So do fanatics of all stripes. All the sadder and scarier.
