<p>Hi! My brother currently goes to nvcc and is getting an Associate of science in information technology. He is also in the pathway program. He is graduating this semester to get into the fall semester of GMU this year. He likes his IT degree so far, he specifically likes database, but he is scared of java! He thinks that he is going to fail more than 3 their times at GMU and his major will get terminated. the Applied information technology is for their engineering school, and he is afraid that the java classes will ruin his major and GPA. He currently has a 3.7. So are the java classes really that hard? are there a lot of java classes for this BS major? what kind of classes will he be taking for this major? He was even thinking about switching his major, but I told him to stick with this major and practice java over the summer. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. thanks!</p>
