George Mason Regular Decision Letters

ohh okay yeah that makes sense! thanks for you input booboo96!

No problem. Just have seen that with VT and ODU so figure they all do that. Good Luck, it won’t be much longer.

@booboo96: have you been accepted at mason yet? if so, is that your first choice?

Yes. No, it is not my first choice. However., it doesn’t mean that I wont attend, just need to get all the options and factors in front of me before I decide.

@gmuhelp: any response from mason regarding your ACT score??

@V31996 any news yet? I imagine they are just waiting to send the majority of the notices out together after the few early ones were released for some odd reason.

@booboo96: yeah they said regular decisions come out Mid to Late march…so it should be coming soon! thanks for the checkup!

I think a lot of colleges are sending or posting Friday, March 21st after 5pm so maybe GMU will do the same.

Yes they received it yesterday and said they would review it soon  expected to hear back mid to late match

oh okay, good luck Gmuhelp! Lemme know when you get your acceptance letter!

Have you gotten your letter?

no not yet they said I should get it mid to late march…but all those links i posted earlier work for me! /:slight_smile:
btw, you should check those links regularly if they happen to work for you?

Not really relying too much on it. Friend who applied had 3.5 with 1900 SATS couldn’t log in and I’m almost sure he got in.

@Gmuhelp: ya your friend probably couldn’t log on back then because gmu probably didn’t make his decison
back then. Your friend should try now.

He tried three days ago, and the admissions told him they had already made their decision.

ohh ok, did ur friend ask them why he coudn’t log on?
i am not too sure about the deposit and housing application links
but the link below is ONLY for admitted students to register for a spring preview orientation event. Your friend and you should try this one out…idk if you have already.

Got a rejection letter today.

Instate
GPA W: 3.7
SAT: 2170
Solid ECs and recs
OK essays.

DA F***
This was my safety school. I’m so screwed.

@nowayjii: you have to be joking, how can mason reject you, your stats are amazingggg!!! anyways, I am sorry to hear about your decision, and I hope you get all the other schools you applied to!!! btw, if you can tell me whether or not you can log on to the following links, that will realllyyyy help me!!!

 1. https://deposit.gmu.edu:8444/deposit/</a>
 2. https://myhousing.gmu.edu/eliving/apply.asp</a>

@V731996 I couldn’t log on to the first one, it gave me this message:
ERROR: Sorry! You are not eligible to make a deposit. Student neither Freshman not Transfer student.
It knows I was an applicant or it would have said incorrect password etc.
The second link says my login or password is incorrect.

Thanks! I hope this was just a fluke, because if it wasn’t I’m not getting into any college! :frowning:

@nowayjj A friend of mine got denied to her safety school that she had applied early to. When our college counselor called the admissions department, they had said that her stats were so above average that it was obvious to them that she had applied to the school with the mentality of it being a safety, and with only so many spots to go around, they wanted to admit students who had a higher likelihood of actually attending. In other words, higher likelihood of writing them a check.
