I have done a decent amount of research and everyone says that GMU and Fairfax are incredibly bland and uneventful. Yet, when I visited the school, it didn't appear as dreadful as the 'research' would suggest. I would love some insight regarding GMU's student life. Thanks!

If you are looking for an urban school vibe than you might find GMU and Fairfax too quiet. It’s not NYC or downtown DC. But the upside is that it’s a very safe campus with few of the issues that come with living in a big city. Also you can get into the city (DC) easily in about 40 minutes if you want to spend the day there or do an internship there. I’m the parent of student at Mason who always has plenty to do on campus. He says it’s all about being friendly enough to make connections with people. He does sports, academic clubs, and hosts a show on the university cable channel. There is a lot to do, you just have to make some effort, and that is true anywhere.

George Mason is a pretty decent school, I would definitely consider going through if you get in.
