So now that ED is out, I figured that we could use a thread for admitted students to connect before this fall and for applying students to ask questions. Post which school you got accepted into and anything else you want like GPA/scores or where you are from.
Last year and the year before had a Facebook group, but this year the only Facebook group with more than three members is a closed group made by a start up, eCampus ventures. So I think this is a good place to start.
I got accepted into SEAS with a really low (weighted 3.6) GPA but an internship, lots of ECs and service hours, and 12 AP 4s and 5s including one self taught. I am going to study computer science. Hit me up if you got into SEAS or any of GW or you just like my username.
I got accepted to Columbian with a 97.18 weighted GPA and an 1880 SAT and lots of ECs. My school doesn’t offer AP courses but I’m taking all college classes at my high school this year. My letters of rec were really good and I had my english 101 teacher help me with my essay. I’m going to be majoring in chemistry
I got accepted into Elliot School and I got the presidential scholarship with a 30 ACT, 4.67 weighted GPA (3.87 unweighted), editor in chief of my school newspaper, president of 2 clubs, 2 jobs, an internship at the EPA, 220 volunteer hours, and I want to study International Relations with a concentration in International Politics
Hey!! I feel like we should just start our own facebook group maybe because this seems lowkey impractical without names and such haha, what do you guys think??
Anyways, I got accepted to Elliott with a major in International Affairs and International Politics as the concentration, I am super excited to be attending GW!! It has been my dream school for so long and I am so excited to spend the next four years at the beautiful campus.
I also want to double major in political science!!
I got into Columbian with a 4.0 (uw) GPA and 2010 sat scores. I have taken all but one of the ap classes my school offers. I’m super involved in extra curricular activities and had a great interview with the guy saying it was the best answer he had ever heard to why gw. I’m going for a dual major in political science and international business with a prelaw track. I’m so excited that I got accepted GW is my dream school.
I got accepted to the school of Media and Public Affairs.
Weighted GPA of 3.5
SAT score of 1950
President of Debate team,Communications director for 2 clubs, lot of political activism, over 300 hours of volunteering, entrepreneur. Insanely excited for GW! I second the idea for us to start our own FB page for the GW Class of 2020!
I was accepted to the School of Business.
I had a 101.68 weighted GPA (school doesn’t do unweighted), and a 2130 on my SATs (700 r, 710 m, 720 w). I had a 5 on the ap world exam and a 4 on the ap psych exam. I am the Vice President of my class, treasurer and secretary for NHS, ice president of the debate team, student rep to the school board, etc. Some people were rather concerned about the interview, but I had mine on campus and I literally just had a conversation with my interviewer, who was a student. Good luck to everyone in the future, and I would be very open to connecting with others over FB or some other kind of social media!
It is done. [url = <a href=“George Washington University Class of 2020! | Facebook”>George Washington University Class of 2020! | Facebook</a>] facebook. com/groups/gwu2020 It is a closed group but that is only so that we can kick out spam. I will approve anyone and any member can approve a new member.

Hi everyone!! I was accepted into the Columbian School of Arts and Sciences with a major in Political Science. Just wanted to say hi
Does anyone know if need-based financial aid information is sent out separately from the admission decision? The Presidential Scholarship was included in my acceptance letter, but I applied for need-based as well and am curious as to when I am supposed to hear back.
