S was rejected…think it was because the essay, it didn’t gush with reasons why he wanted to go. Don’t think it was his qualifications; he’s been accepted to other equally competitive schools.

In all honesty he applied because it was an OOS option and because his parents pushed it, not for any other particular reason, and that most likely showed.

Best of luck to the rest of you…

Wheeee

Interview: went pretty well, it was my first one and I was so nervous, but the guy who interviewed me was pretty understanding and nice.

I didn’t apply to honors or special programs, because I didn’t think I’d stand a chance for Honors, and I didn’t want to do Women’s Leadership, but now I’m kind of wishing that I had just to see what would have happened. Oh well! I’m still really happy!

Great relationship with my admissions counselor. We talk all the time.

Unfortunately I didn’t qualify for any merit aid, but I’m sure theyre fairly liberal with government financial assistance, so I have to wait!

Recs: great! both my teachers talked about how interactive i am in calss and about my knowledge about world issues. i didnt see my couselors letter, but im sure that was decent as well.
Essays: Im a good writer, so my common app essay was pretty good. I was really proud of my “Why GW” essay… it talked about how I’ve wanted to attend GW since 10th grade and i feel like it really showed my love for the school.

Accepted with $30,000/year GW Board of Trustees Scholarship!!! I didn’t get into the honors program though, but as I’m probably not going to end up here (my mom doesn’t want me that far away), it doesn’t matter too much. Although with this scholarship it isn’t completely out!
