<p>Why not? They know who has demonstrated interest and who has not. They’d rather take people who actually have some intention of attending.</p>
<p>oh… and does gw reject? everyone’s been just waitlisted… some schools are like that i heard… so i’m not sure…</p>

<p>but there are some people who might have high stats but applied cuz they want like financial aid… no? what about those people??</p>

<p>I’ve never even gotten reprimanded by a teacher. 11 AP’s total. Four 5’s and one 3… Lots of extracurriculars including leadership…</p>

4’s on AP Eng + AP History (Currently taking AP English, Psych, Euro, Gov, French – all A’s (ranging from 92 - 98) on mid-year report).
Unweighted GPA - 92, Weighted GPA -98.
Essays focused on politics. (I’m an “A” English student, so I thought it was good.)
2 Letter of Recs - both really good, 1 from AP Eng teacher, 1 from MUN teacher.
Additional letter of rec from a Congressman who I interned for 8 hours/3 days a week for 8 months. (Really good, I read it.)
Many leadership positions and awards, particularly in Model UN/Model Congress.
Lots of community service throughout high school at the hospital, volunteer tutoring kids in middle school and high school, helping the Red Cross, etc.</p>

<p>i mean, to what extent can you show interest in a school? visiting, talking to reps, etc? i did all of that…but i guess gw has a certain policy against accepting people with higher stats which i can see through alot of results here</p>
