Accepted! But I wasn’t offered any scholarship, or acceptance into the 5 Year or Honors Program… :(

I got into GW with a 15K scholarship and I also got into the Women’s Leadership Program in Globalization, Econ, and Business!

Accepted!!! Where does it say the college admitted to and where would it say if I recovered any money. On the acceptance it makes no mention of my college or money. Any help appreciated. Thanks

How you guys find out the decision? I clicked my kid’s GWU Center and found out status is " under review". Who can tell me what happen? Also, how you find out FA amount? Under which tab? Please help me out. Thanks a lot.

Accepted with a Presidential Scholarship! I’m quite happy!

As Becool asked, how do we know what college we were admitted to? I applied to the business school and although I did get into the Women’s Leadership program for Business, it makes no mention of the school of business…

Do all you accepted folk want to give a brief rundown of your profiles, like your SAT scores/GPAs/extracurriculars etc.? Honestly, I am at a complete loss as to why I’m wait listed because in terms of scores/GPA/class rank I am way above the middle 50% of the current student body, but hey, once you start talking about schools as good as GW it’s a crap shoot for all of us.

Son waitlisted
3.7 GPA unweighted top public school in state
1970 SAT
tons of EC
great common app essay, essay for why want to go to GW, was not great.
never saw LOR’s

@february94, your admissions packet will arrive in the mail shortly that will give you more details on which college you were accepted to, but I think it’s pretty safe to assume that you’re accepted to the school of business.

This is how I found out I was accepted into Elliot:

-Go to Admissions Event
-Click on “April Visit for Admitted Students”
-Click Register
-It will say “Step 1: Your Information”. The last detail in that info should be your “intended GW School” which for me said Elliot School of International Affairs

My D’s letter listed the School of Media and Public Affairs- Political Comm under “Special Programs.”

My application status still says under review. I’m really freaking outt! Is this happening to anybody else? Does this mean I didn’t get in…

Also if you go to your application status page, they posted it there.
ACCEPTED with Presidential Scholarship
I am quite surprised, seeing as I submitted the wrong essay…whoops. My favorite politician as my role model and inspiration isn’t quite why gw? lol
But, I am a fairly strong applicant, so I guess that made up for that blunder. I didn’t apply for any special programs and barely cared when filling out their app. I have family that live in DC, and despite GW being a great school, I will probably not attend.

So If there is nothing in the Admissions Activity Center about a scholarship does that mean that I did not get one?

Yes. it would have been on there.

Waitlisted with following stats:

SAT: 2180 one-time, 2250 combined
ACT: 31 (not sure if I sent them)
Leadership: Treasurer of National Honor Society, Editor on school newspaper, several other leadership positions, some small awards, AP Scholar, 10 AP Classes…ranked in top 2% in a class of over 300 students… 100.01 GPA…
Essay: above decent
Letter of Recs-have been getting me into all my other schools so don’t see why not this one.

is this normal?

yup*

alright, thank you! :)

I don’t know my GWID and don’t have any emails from after applying that contain it. Does anyone know why this might be and should I just email admissions asking what it is?
If my application status still says under review does that mean I didn’t get in? How are people already seeing what schools they got in to?
